About Skegness Springs Ltd

Skegness Springs Ltd is a third generation family firm founded in London in 1923. In 1974 the company moved to Skegness, on the east coast of Lincolnshire. As bespoke manufacturers no stock is carried - everything we do is designed and made to order. We offer an infinite range of compression, extension and torsion springs along with wire shapes and flat pressings.

We have recently moved to new premises, allowing us to expand our workforce and step-up our ongoing investment in new technology, new machinery and materials. The new site, on Hassall Road, is almost twice the size of our old premises with better access and improved facilities.

We offer a complete design and development service on our full range of springs, and are always happy to advise on any aspect of spring design and application. In addition to our own knowledge, we are able to call upon the technical resources of the Institute of Spring Technology (IST) and the UK Spring Manufacturers' Association (UKSMA). We are full members of both organisations.

We keep a complete range of stainless and spring steel wire in stock for immediate use along with a large variety of other materials including Beryllium Copper, Phosphor Bronze, Nimonic 90 and enamel-coated Copper. A considerable investment has also been made in Inconel X750, a very useful alloy of Nickel and Chromium, allowing rapid production and dispatch of springs made with this specialist material (usually for the oil or nuclear industry).

The administrative side of the company is also highly efficient. Our records are now completely computerised allowing quick access to spring specifications and prices, customer accounts and details. Our own unique spring design programs allow quick performance and stress checking of each spring design to be made before your order is put into production.

We are able to offer fast delivery and precision accuracy on our products and, although we specialise in small quantities and one-offs, we are just as happy to quote for larger quantities.
